In 2015, and at just 13 years of age, Tracy Njeck, an Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School student was diagnosed with leukemia. She returned home from school and complained of body aches. As the days went by, it got worse and she could barely get out of bed or do anything for herself. She got admitted a few times at the local hospital but with no diagnosis. She was then transferred from the rural area to a big city hospital, where she got admitted while awaiting her test results that were sent to France. Three weeks after her admission at this hospital, her results finally arrived with the diagnosis of leukemia.

Through one of its members, LESA USA got wind of this story and empathized with this young lady and her family. LESA USA awarded the Tracy $5,000 to assist with her treatment and journey of healing. On November 02, 2017, LESA USA via Tracy’s family was informed that she had just received her last chemo, bone marrow biopsy, and was presently in remission. Message from Tracy’s family: 11/02/17

Dear family and friends;
Greetings to you and yours.

It is with profound gratitude that we put before you these words to tell you how appreciative we are of your thoughts, donations, calls, and above all prayers. Our God is awesome. To update you, our daughter, Tracy Njeck who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2015 in Cameroon (Africa) had the opportunity through your generosity and God’s mercy to immigrate to the United States for treatment. Tracy bravely and successfully underwent chemotherapy for almost two years in Florida. It has been a long bumpy ride but Tracy has been a fighter through this process.

Together with your help, a fantastic team of medical professionals and especially God’s grace, we are excited and blessed to tell you Tracy completed chemotherapy last week and is now in remission.

Our smiles have been unending and from the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you. Thank you for the part you played in saving Tracy’s life.

May God richly bless you all.
